Benefits in the Garden

Our pellets are made from 100% sheep wool and make a wonderful, all-natural fertilizer in your garden. When mixed into soil, wool pellets:

  • Slowly release nitrogen, potassium, and other micronutrients essential for plant growth and health (est. 10-0-4 NPK ratio)

  • Hold more than 3x their weight in water to help reduce how frequently you need to water

  • Repels slugs and snails

  • Biodegrade in about 6 months

Why Wool?

Wool is a renewable resource, naturally organic, and locally raised and produced right here in the Willamette Valley. Traditional wool markets have declined and sheep producers face a real challenge of what to do with their wool each year. With its many benefits in the garden, wool is the perfect material for an all-natural garden fertilizer.

Pelletizing our wool makes for a compact and convenient garden application.

How to Use

Mix wool pellets into the soil at an application rate of 2-5% of the soil volume. This equates to 1 pound per 10 sqft or 1/2 cup to 1 cup of wool pellets per gallon of soil.

Top dress plants with pellets to help deter slugs and snails.

Mulch using wool pellets to suppress weeds and retain water.
